Ensuring that the power supply in data centers is safe
Low-voltage main distribution board, feed-in
A safe power supply forms the basis for secure data
Safety, maximum availability and economic viability in server parks, data centers and IT rooms are now a MUST and require a fault-free power supply. The supplied medium voltage is transformed down to 400 V in the transformer stations and fed to the data center via cable bars or busbars and the low-voltage main distribution board and normal system sub-distribution panel. The normal system sub-distribution panel also provides the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with electricity. The power supply is permanently monitored by Bender AC/DC sensitive and multi-channel ground-fault monitoring systems. This avoids fire hazards, operational interruptions, functional problems damage and, in the worst-case scenario, data loss as a result of faulty electrical insulation or EMC influence. Bender monitoring systems protect your data every day. Possible risks are recognized early before problems arise. Power quality is the perfect solution for monitoring of low-voltage main distribution boards. Monitoring of the central grounding points via an RCMS guarantees that there is only one connection between N and PE in line with the standards.

Emergency power systems ensure uninterrupted power supply
Electricity providers are not always able to guarantee perfect supply of electrical energies everywhere. Short interruptions or sustained power outages must be bridged by emergency power systems in order to maintain the operation of a data center, including the associated technical systems, such as air-conditioning, electricity and security. The Bender solutions control the changeover and monitor the emergency power system for electrical faults.

Switching to emergency power without interruption
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is used to ensure the supply of critical electrical loads in the event of problems in the power supply. The UPS systems (normally battery or oscillating weight systems) bridge the period until the emergency power systems (generators) are activated or the system is available again. Electrical safety is continuously monitored by Bender products.
